WormBase ID  WBRNAi00094571 Phenotype Remark  bec-1 RNAi results in a more rapid and significant accumulation of Salmonella typhimurium bacteria in the intestinal lumen and inside the intestinal cells, compared to vector controls. bec-1 RNAi animals exhibited fewer autophagosomes and autolysosomes containing the Salmonella typhimurium bacteria and an increase in the number of Salmonella containing vacuoles (SCVs), as determined by electron microscopy.
