Phenotype Remark  In a mig-1 lin-17; cfz-2; mec-4::mom-5(RNAi) background, LIN 18 is enriched at the surface (when expressed alone or when co-expressed with PLR-1). When co-expressed with PLR-1 without the mig-1 lin-17; cfz-2; mec-4::mom-5(RNAi) background, LIN-18 is not detected at the surface but rather is co-localized with PLR-1 in endosomes. Remark  mec-4 promoter was used for specific RNAi of mom-5 in mec-4 expressing cells to circumvent maternal lethality caused by loss of mom-5 in the entire animal. LIN-18-GFP was co-expressed with PLR-1-mCherry in this background. Exact sequence used for RNAi not stated by authors, exon 1 used for curation.
