| Subcellular Localization | TLK-1 exhibited a cell cycle-specific localization pattern. TLK-1 was localized to the nucleus during interphase and prophase and appeared to be mostly excluded from DNA in prophase. TLK-1 was present in the cytoplasm after nuclear envelope breakdown, and some TLK-1 was congregated around the metaphase chromosome, similar to the 'halo' around the metaphase plate detected by the phospho-TLK-1 antibody. When the nuclear envelope reassembled in telophase, TLK-1 was localized to the nucleus again. |
