| Pattern | We validated the higher expression of ins-39 in males using a transcriptional ins-39p::gfp reporter array. Remarkably, adult males exhibited 32-fold higher mean fluorescence intensity than hermaphrodites, and L1 hermaphrodites showed essentially no fluorescence at all.
