An integrated data resource for C. elegans and related nematodes

Expression Pattern :

Pattern  pgp-3 is mainly expressed in the apical membrane of the large H-shaped excretory cell. Staining was also found in the apical membrane of intestinal cells and in the membrane of the most anterior region of the pharynx. Primary Identifier  Expr1549
Subcellular Localization  Staining was localized in the membrane towards the luminal side of the canals and in the sinus of the cell body.

H-shaped cell associated with the excretory system, largest cell in C. elegans. excretory cell excretory canal cell WBbt:0005812
any of 20 large epithelial cells which form a tube and are mostly situated as bilaterally symmetric pairs around the tubular lumen. Each of these cell pairs forms an intestinal ring ( II-IX int rings). The most anterior intestinal ring (int ring I), however, is made of four cells. Intestinal cells contain large nuclei with large nucleoli and numerous autofluorescent granules in their cytoplasm. intestinal cell   WBbt:0005792
