Expression Pattern :

Pattern  TFG-1 localizes to endoplasmic reticulum exit sites in the C. elegans germline. In addition, it was found that TFG-1 accumulates at endoplasmic reticulum exit sites in several other tissues, including the intestine, hypodermis and muscle. Primary Identifier  Expr9302
Subcellular Localization  TFG-1 antibodies stained punctate structures throughout the cytoplasm of oocytes, 85% of which co-localized with SEC-16 on endoplasmic reticulum exit sites. Using immunogold electron microscopy, the localization of TFG-1 in proximal oocytes was further defined to a cloud-like region at endoplasmic reticulum exit sites that spread to the ERGIC.

Definition Name Synonym Primary Identifier
A chain of very large cuboidal cells forming a wide central lumen in which food arrives from the posterior pharynx, is digested, and from which waste products proceed to the rectum. Intestinal rings form in groups of two and four cells surrounding the common lumen; thus the epithelium is only one cell deep at any point, with neighboring cells firmly secured to their neighbors by apical adherens junctions. These cells have very large nuclei and many large vacuoles, yolk granules, and other inclusions; the latter increase in number and electron density as the animal ages. intestine gut WBbt:0005772
Epidermal layer. hypodermis epidermis WBbt:0005733
Contractile cell that makes up muscle tissue. muscle cell   WBbt:0003675
cell line which early in development becomes differentiated from the remaining somatic cell line, and alone has the potential to undergo meiosis and form gametes. germ line germline WBbt:0005784
