Expression Pattern :

Pattern  Another transgenic reporter expressing 3xFlag::ENDU-2::EGFP was expressed strongly in the intestinal and also weakly in some head neurons, muscle cells in the head region, and anal depressor muscle cells, corroborating the report from Ujisawa et al.. We speculate that the N-terminal 3xFlag fusion may prevent secretion by impairing binding of the secretion signal peptide by signal recognition particle (SRP), thus allowing detection of the weak expression in the muscles and neurons. 4 Anatomy Terms

Definition Name Synonym Primary Identifier
neuron with its cell body situated in the head, excluding the pharynx. head neuron   WBbt:0006751
a single, H-shaped cell which lies just above the anus and connects the roof of the anal canal to the dorsal bodywall; its contractions act to increase the size of the anal opening by lifting the roof of the rectum and hence facilitate expulsion of intestinal contents. anal depressor muscle dilator muscle WBbt:0004292
Contractile cell that makes up muscle tissue. muscle cell   WBbt:0003675
any of 20 large epithelial cells which form a tube and are mostly situated as bilaterally symmetric pairs around the tubular lumen. Each of these cell pairs forms an intestinal ring ( II-IX int rings). The most anterior intestinal ring (int ring I), however, is made of four cells. Intestinal cells contain large nuclei with large nucleoli and numerous autofluorescent granules in their cytoplasm. intestinal cell   WBbt:0005792
