Phenotype : WBPhenotype:0001513 dense core vesicle exocytosis variant

Description  Variations in the process of secretion of a class of membrane-bound vesicles found inside neurons, gland cells, and some epithelial cells in which the central core appears darkly stained when viewed in thin section by electron microscopy, compared to control. Exocytosis occurs via the fusion of the vesicle with the plasma membrane of a cell (Wormatlas).
